The Come Alive boys are smarting from the touch up they received last Saturday from another contender for the title the S&C Blues.
For the Central Hotel, they haven’t’ had much cricket in the first five rounds of the competition. Two byes, two losses at Young and a forfeit, so they are looking forward to a match at Albert Park.
This season the Come Alive boys have had the luxury of playing all of their matches at Albert Park.
After winning the first three matches, the Crusaders had a reality check last Saturday when they were soundly beaten by the S&C Blues.
In the last preliminary match of last season when the Merrin Cup was played for, the Central boys caused a big surprise by defeating the Crusaders by 67 runs. The win wrapped up the minor premiership.
Come Alive are leading with Central Hotel second. Crusaders have a bit of different look this season with the inclusion of David Garness, Josh Purtell, Tom Grace and Mitchell Grace.
In the Dunk Insurance Cup, leaders Stockinbingal, playing a third consecutive match at home, are hosting Criterion Gunners. Stockinbingal has lost just one match, while Gunners sit in second.
