Cootamundra team are runners-up at Harden President’s Day

The Harden Bowls President’s Day was held last Sunday, and a most successful day it was. All clubs throughout the South West District were represented.

Forty two bowlers took to the green and some great bowls were witnessed. 

The team who produced the best bowls was the Quandialla team, made up of John Priestly, Geoff Edgerton, Ken McAllister and Peter Edgerton, who ran out winners for the day. 

The Cootamundra Ex Services team of Greg Fisher, Pat O’Brien, Kye Fisher and Neil Blackett were the Runners-up.

Maestro Singles Competition

The Maestro Singles matches continued to be played last week, with four matches played on Tuesday  and three matches on Thursday night. Results were as follows:

Tuesday night (last week)

Terry Ricketts defeated Ron Rosengreen (Coota Country Club) 31 to 20; Brian Madden (Young) defeated Jim White (Coota Ex Services) 31 to 23; Geoff Holt (Young) defeated Chris Hocking 31 to 5; Brad Lange (Coota Country Club) defeated Rod Neeson (Boorowa Rec) 

Thursday night

John Goccan (Coota Ex Services) defeated Greg Fisher (Coota Ex Services) 31 to 8; Mick Ryan (Coota Ex Services) defeated John Balcomb 31 to 29; John Herriott (Coota Ex Services) defeated Damien Miller 31 to 26
