THE new owners of the Pickled Pantry have come on board to support fundraising efforts for the family of former Cootamundra Local Area Command police officer Paul Wilcox.
Paul has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and requires treatment in Western Australia.
Trevor and the team at the Pickled Pantry are kindly donating 50 cents from every coffee sold in the month of August to Paul and his family.
Meanwhile, Kylie and her team at Naked Nails have also pledged their support to Paul and his family following the conclusion of her fundraising efforts for another local struck by cancer Billie Judge.
Well done to these local businesses and if you can please support them as they support locals in need.
CONGRATULATIONS to 2014 Miss Wattle Ellen Bailey.
Ellen will participate in her first official role as Miss Wattle at this Friday night’s Wattle Time Art Exhibition opening.
The opening night of this time honoured tradition, now in its 35th year, is always a terrific evening with the whole community invited ($15 per person).
Heated pool hours
WE hear the additional hour the heated pool is now open in the middle of the day is being well utilised by keen swimmers.
During the week the pool is open 7am until 9am, 12.30pm until 1.30pm and 4.30pm until 6.30pm.
On weekends people can swim in the heated pool between 11am and 3pm Saturday and 11am and 2pm on Sunday.
The option to hire the pool for an hour at a cost of $100 is also being well utilised by everyone from sporting clubs to mums hosting birthday parties. What a great idea for a birthday party!
