There was an added air of emotion at the Cootamundra Public School presentation day as, among the celebration and recognition of students’ efforts, the inaugural Jai Godbier Memorial Award was presented.

The award, presented to a student who demonstrates consideration towards others, commemorates young Jair Godbier who passed away earlier this year.
Piper Philpott had the honour of receiving the first award which will now be presented each year at the presentation day.
As well as commemorating Jai, the presentation day gave the school community a chance to reflect on everything they have achieved this year.
Principal Bill Godman thanked the school community for their “concerted and sustained commitment to teaching and learning” throughout the year.
The following awards were presented;
