Putting on the hat of district vice-president, I had the privilege of congratulating and awarding the winning team their small remuneration.
It was the team of I Schofield, G Hardman, R Boyd and G Edgerton from Young Bowling Club who received the prize money by defeating J Cooper, D Miller, B Madden, and D Quigley,, also from Young Bowling Club.

AT OUR club that afternoon a couple of very even pairs games took place; P Rasmussen, and K Breasley defeating R Cleveland and R Smith.by two shots and other game, C Willis and G Davidson getting a win over G Bushell and R Johnson. by one shot.

TUESDAY morning four games of pairs were played on a good green, and only one game won by a sizeable margin that gave them the Vouchers for the day .
Twenty points were earned by J Malone, and RBonduruk when they defeated D Wallace and D Manwaring. (30 to 13) .
Seventeen-and-a-half points was next best result for G Bushell and D Bateup over R Williams and R Johnson (20-18).
A big comeback over last six ends by A Ward, and K Breasley, down (22- 10) at end 15, saw them win by one shot against P Rasmussen, and G Davidson.
Fifteen points were earned by G Bottrell and R Cleveland in final game against C Willis and J Cooper.
The raffle was won by G Davidson.
