Already $15,000 of the $100,000 needed has been raised. 

To add to the tally, wife Hayley is coordinating a Colour Run. 

The event will be held at the Cootamundra Racecourse on Saturday, April 22 with room for up to 500 people. 

It is all about fun while fundraising with participants able to run, walk, skip, jump, whatever takes their fancy around the 5km route. 

Participants will start in waves with the first group to set off at 2pm on the day. 

The first 400 entrants will receive a promotional pack including a wristband, headband, bib, temporary tattoo and the all important colour. 

Extra colour will be available to purchase. 

The colour run concept sees participants doused with coloured powder.

Participants are asked to start the event wearing white and by the finish line, groups resemble a technicolour spectacular.

People are encouraged to collect sponsorship if they wish with prizes on the day for the greatest team and individual sponsorship. 

There will also be raffle tickets available on the day with a major prize of three nights at the Tarragon Lodge on the Murray River, second prize of $500 worth of Gorge Jewellery by the talented Gemma Pratt of Cootamundra and third prize donated by Infinity.

Hayley said she has been overwhelmed by the early support for the event.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, March 25, family friend Ruth McDevitt, of Cootamundra, will walk 22km from Cootamundra to Wallendbeen to raise funds for Adam.
