We may have been small in numbers with only 11 present but we welcomed back Maurya Hogan who has been absent for quite a few months.
Maurya was presented with her 30-year pin and a certificate by zone councillor Margaret and received a bunch of flowers from president Jenny McAinsh.
The ladies enjoyed lovely shades of purple for the theme this month and went on to play games with delicious chocolates as the prizes.
We voted on four resolutions which will be debated at National Convention in September this year in Tamworth.
Dr Lisa O’Brien notified clubs that VIEW is now sponsoring 1200 children from disadvantaged backgrounds on the Smith Family Learning for Life program.
Our little club raises funds to sponsor three of these students and feel very proud and privileged to be able to do this.
We will be selling tickets during August at IGA for our SPRING raffle (a beautiful earthenware collection) to raise the funds needed so if you see us and can help out it would be very much appreciated.
The children benefit and get a good start in life.
In August we will have a “Yellow and Green” theme and a guest speaker from the Department of Fair Trading telling us about frauds and scams.
If you would like to attend as a guest call President Jenny on 0408 475 411 to put your name down.
We are always looking for new members so come along and enjoy the fun and friendship with interesting guest speakers and a delicious lunch.
VIEW clubs are a “Valued part of The Smith Family” assisting disadvantaged children get a good education.
