Cootamundra will host its annual Book Parade on Friday, August 25 with many young people across town and local villages already piecing together their costumes.
The parade will start at 12.45pm.
The Book Parade is the culmination of Book Week, an initiative of The Children’s Book Council of Australia.
The theme this year is ‘Australian Story Country’, however children traditionally dress up across many different themes.
The Book Parade will involve local schools, as well as pre-schools, the library and other community groups involving young people.
Book Week is designed to foster a love of reading from an early age.
