MEN: ANOTHER one of our Veteran bowlers has just had his 90th birthday and thus it was that, Terry and family sponsored a bowls game on Sunday for Dad, Bill Ledger, with a tasty barbecue to follow.

Those who took part had a great afternoon of fun and fellowship with Bill and Elvie, and their family.
Elvie never got the “bowls bug”but both are staunch supporters of our club.

WEEKEND events stole some of our numbers, but it was nice to be able to wish Bill all the best for another year.
Cards were drawn for winners,Charlie Willis, Jan Slavin and Roy Cleveland and losers card prize went to Marilyn Ledger, Di.Buchanan and Paul Calmanovici.
A Championship Club Mixed Pairs game took place on Tuesday that saw Neta and Don Manwaring advance to the next round as a result of their win over Elenor Armstrong and Arthur Ward.(25-15).
Other games played found Eddie Jarrott and Roy Cleveland taking home the meat trays by their win over Geoff Hagan and Graeme Worboys earning 20 points.
B Gibson and R Johnson had a 16.5 point score over R Williams and R Bonderuk .
G Botterall, D Bateup and K Breasley had a draw (20-20) with W Watmore, G Davidson, and J Cooper. Scobie scored the Raffle Tray.

FRIDAY Social: One close game and two rather decisive victories on this occasion.
The game A Hutchinson and K Breasley versus W Watmore and D Bateup see-sawed all the way with later pair finishing one shot in front (18-17).
C Miller and R Johnson grabbed a “four“ on last end against G Bushell and R Cleveland to finish with a 11 shot margin but that was not enough to win the vouchers as E Jarrott and P Rasmussen knotched up a 12 shot margin against G Hagan and J Malone.
