Plans were finalised for the Land Cookery day and Hume Group Council meeting at Junee.
International officer Ann, introduced our new country of study, the Republic of Poland, with some most interesting facts.
Poland has a population of just over 38 million and is the sixth most populous member state of the EU.
In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries it was one of the largest and most populous countries in Europe, having the first European "constitution ".
Warsaw is the capital, the official language being Polish, with seven minor languages.
Their flag consists of two horizontal stripes, equal width, the upper being white, the lower red.
Agricultural and Environment officer Sue outlined the flora and fauna studies for 2018, being orchids and owls, and mentioned the beautiful bottle brush at the school.

Wallendbeen CWA will be holding their Christmas Stall on Friday, December 8, with lots of Christmas goodies.
Sue has once again coordinated 56 boxes for Operation Christmas Child, to be sent overseas to those in need.
The members have contributed $100 towards postage.
Congratulations were expressed to Eve, as she has been appointed secretary for the Hume Group CWA. Well done Eve.
The next meeting will be in the Wallendbeen Memorial Hall on Tuesday, December 12 at 1pm.
Following the meeting the Combined Christmas Party will be held.
Members are asked to contribute to the afternoon.
