SPECIAL NIGHT: Cootamundra's Christmas Carols in the Park is always one of the biggest nights on the town's events calendar.

The combined churches in Cootamundra are hosting a Carols in the Park extravaganza as part of their Christmas celebrations.

The event will commence at 5.30 pm on Sunday, December 10 at Jubilee Park.

The Lions Club of Cootamundra are providing their jumping castle and there will be face painting for the little ones.

A sausage sizzle will also be available, at only $2 each.

Students from Sacred Heart Central School and Cootamundra Public School will be performing carols during the evening.

One of the organisers of the event, Darren Duncanson, is keen to see as many families attend this year as possible.

“The numbers of people attending Carols have been pretty stable, but we would all love to see more people at this true family evening,” Mr Duncanson said.
