SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD Stockinbingal all-rounder, Jack Caldwell, will make his O’Farrell Cup debut for Cootamundra against Temora on Sunday.

Caldwell, a great product of the Stockinbingal Cricket Club, has impressed selectors with all-round capabilities, plus his enthusiasm in the field makes him a vital cog in the revamped Cootamundra line-up. The last Stockinbingal player to make their O’Farrell Cup debut was Shayne Brabin who scored 41 not out in Cootamundra’s eight-run loss to Wagga in 1997.
Cootamundra has not challenged before Christmas for 15 years and they successfully defeated Leeton by 24 runs. That match, on December 15, 2002 at the Yanco Sportsground, saw Cootamundra score a below par total of 115, however that was enough as Cootamundra routed Leeton for 91.

Last season Temora took the Cup off Young and successfully defended the Cup for remainder of the season, defeating Wagga, Cootamundra, Ardlethan Barellan and Holbrook.
Notable inclusions for Sunday’s match is Matt Berkrey, Brendan Gale and Adam Twyford.
