It was a wonderful opportunity for students to be apart of both the sporting and academic presentations to inspire them to achieve in 2018.
At the sporting assembly Alexandria Oliver was rightly acknowledged for her sporting success in 2017, winning the Sportsperson of the Year.
She also received a Riverina Sporting Blues Award along with a number of other sporting awards across various sports.
Blake Francis was awarded the Junior Sportsperson Award and Georgia Omara the Premiers Sporting Challenge Award.
Darren Press, captain of Kendall House, accepted the winning house trophy overall for 2017.
At our academic presentation students were acknowledged for their ongoing commitment to their learning.
Students received awards from their class teachers as well as annual awards across the school.
Isabella Kingwell was named Dux of EA Southee Public School for 2018 and captains Alexandria Oliver and Logan Hotson hosted the awards presentations.
The EA Southee school choir performed as well as the Year 5 marimba ensemble group who capped of the awards presentation in fine style.
However, the highlight of the evening was the announcement of the 2018 Student Representative Council – Harmoney Whicker, Heide Bowering, Ashlyn Perry and Mia Craw-Reid and our 2018 school captains Kerstyn Taylor and Lilliana Chick.
Families have been offered the opportunity to complete a survey on whether they would prefer a night or day ceremony for 2018.

SUNDAY
9am: Wallendbeen markets until 1pm.
3pm: Jugiong Christmas in the Park.
TUESDAY
10am: Chess at the Cootamundra library. From beginners to masters, join in the weekly chess sessions. Learn the rules of this popular strategic game or challenge your skills against other players.
THURSDAY
10am and 1.30pm: Intereach Community Hub will be putting on Christmas craft activities for those that are looking for something for the children to do before Christmas. Session 1: 10am to noon for 0 to 5 years (parent/guardian to remain) Christmas craft and storytime. Session 2: 1.30pm to 3.30pm for five to ten years. Christmas craft and colouring.

10.30am: Kids movie at the Arts Centre - Despicable Me 3. Tickets $10.
