The market consisted of 2443 lambs, 1318 ewes, 114 hoggets, 10 rams, and four wethers.
With most of the regular buyers on the rail, they operated in a market that was general very firm across the board, for lambs, with mutton prices up to $5 to $8 cheaper, which is in line with other regional market results.
The quality of the yarding was very good, although heavy mutton was scarce on the day.
Store lambs were limited with a few pens going to the feedlots making up to $136.
Top price of the day for lambs went to John Chapman of Wallendbeen, with a quality pen of fresh shorn XB lambs making $182.
These lambs, with an estimated carcase weight of 27kg and a skin value of $8 came back at $6.45/kg CW and were knocked down to Fletchers International.
Most prices were in the range of $6.40 to $6.80/kg CW although light re-stocker lambs are still making up to and over $7.20/kg CW at the time of sale.

- 24 to 27kg CW made from $168 to $182
- 20 to 24kg CW made from $155 to $165
- 18 to 20kg CW made from $135 to $150
- 16 to 18kg CW made from $120 to $130

The top price mutton went to a pen of medium weight woolly ewes making $125.
Lighter mutton made between $75 to $95 per head with boner mutton making between $30 to $50.
Most mutton ranged between $4 to $4.50/kg CW for the January 10 sale.
Limited hoggets sold to a top of $ 144 to average $100, to be up to $6 cheaper.
