Wally Chater and Denis (Ginger) O’Brien had a close call in their 16-15 win over Graeme Dennis and Tony Curtis. Terry Smith and Geoff Manwaring defeated Steve Stanton and Neil Blackett 30-14, Terry McDonald and Jim Deacon comfortable winners over Steve Leggett and Alan Small 24-12.
