The winners were on 22 shots at end 15 so it would have been interesting if another end had been available for the losers, seeing they won the last six ends.
A triples game took place alongside and Tyson Smith, Don Manwaring, and David Harris were winners over John Dowell, Des Guthrie, and Bill Manwaring 19 shots to 10.
Friday Night Competition
Still no strong support for Friday evening games for some reason and thus there were just six players last Friday.
Those bowlers who did come along to play enjoyed the pleasant evening temperature.
Garry Cassidy, Geoff Hagan, and Ellenor Armstrong got the better of Tyson Smith, Charlie Willis and Arthur Ward, finishing with a 14 - 10 score, after a couple of hours play.
Pairs
Play on Tuesday morning consisted of three games of pairs.
Firstly, Graham Bushell and David Harris defeated Clive Miller and Brad Lange by two shots by holding on to an early lead and scoring 16 points plus two.
In game two, Arthur Ward and Kevin Breasley survived in a hard- fought match with Charlie Willis and Graham Davidson, finishing with 19-5 points plus 10.
Losing the last end cost them the day’s meat trays, which went to Geoff Hagan and David Bateup as a result of their 20 points plus 15 scored against Brian Gibson and John Malone.
The raffle tray was won by Graham Bushell.
