The market consisted of 2546 lambs, 555 ewes, 165 hoggets, 50 rams, and 37 old sheep.
With all the regular buyers on the rail and an extra southern operator active, the market was up to $10 to $13 dearer for trade lambs, with mutton prices mainly $2 to $6 dearer.
The quality of the yarding was very good, for trade lambs although some lambs are starting to show some dryness in the skin due to seasonal conditions.
There was some good runs of heavy mutton.
Store lambs were limited with a few pens going to the feedlots, although the processor were active in the lighter lambs, making up to $130.
Top price of the day for lambs went to Irene Morton of Muttama, with a quality pen of fresh shorn XB Lambs making $172.

These lambs, with an estimated carcase weight of 26kg and a skin value of $6 came back at $6.40kg CW and were knocked down to Southern Meats Goulburn.
Most prices for trade lambs were in the range of $6.20 to $6.50kg CW.

The top price mutton went to a pen of heavy shorn ewes making $133.
Lighter mutton made between $75 to $95 per head with boner mutton making between $30 to $50.
Most mutton ranged between $3.80 to $4.40kg CW.
Limited hoggets sold to a top of $155 to average $130 to be up to $20 dearer, this was quality related.
