Pennants: Grade 4 were at home playing Cootamundra CC (G3) where they recorded a 1-9 loss. Grade 5 were away against Cootamundra CC (G6) where they recorded 1-9 loss. Grade 6 were at home with their opposition being Binalong where they recorded a 9-1 win.
Club Championship: Peter Deacon dominated Henry (Rusty Arm) Wilson in their Major Singles game. Peter jumped to an early lead and was headed and now moves to the next round.
Rod (Pickles) Bradley got away to a great start against Wally Chater and was never headed to win and book a spot in the next round. Graeme Dennis and Robert Anderson won a close encounter beating Rod Bradley and Geoff Hillier 19-16. Nigel Buttriss and Mick Ryan were too strong for Terry Cosgrove and Peter Deacon winning 25-8.
Social bowls: Wednesday saw a game of Pairs and a game of triples. In the pairs game G Hillier and J White had a 20-14 win against G Bushell and Pickles while in the triples game J Jones, Rocky and P O’Brien accounted for R Goode, T Cosgrove and G Snape with a 21-16 win.
Friday consisted of two game of pairs and a game of triples. J Jones and P Cockram had a 19-12 win against S Leggett and G Bushell, while in the other game of pairs A Small and G Hillier had a narrow 23-22 win over K. Hampton and J. White after leading 21-9. Keith and Jim levelled the score at 22-all on end 21 but fell just short on the extra end. In another close game after the completion of the mandatory 21 end had R Bennett, G Snape and P O’Brien all tied up at 18 all with O, Lopez, J. Huntington and Froggy. The extra end saw Pat and team record one shot and win the sausages.
Women’s
WEDNESDAY morning we had eight members come to play. Rhonda and Robyn played Wendy and Lorraine in a game of three bowl pairs with Robyn's side winning on the day. On the adjacent rink Debbie and Freda played Lauren and Carolyn with Freda's side having the win. Welcome back Lauren after your tour.
Saturday morning we had two games of three bowl pairs. Leslie and Greg played Vera and Kye with Greg's side winning. On rink four, Sara and Lynn played Joan and Carolyn with Lynn's side winning on the day.
