Cootamundra police will be investigating the collision of a sheep and a vehicle on the Muttama Road over the weekend.

At 12.30pm on March 18, a vehicle was travelling on the road when it hit a sheep on the road at around 100 kilometres an hour.
The collision occurred around 2.5 kilometres from Cootamundra.
Officer-in-charge of the Cootamundra Cluster Inspector Frank Brown said the driver had taken the ear tag from the sheep and given it to police. Inspector Brown said inquires have begun who owns the sheep.
In other police news;
- A Cootamundra woman will face court after she was charged with shoplifting. Inspector Brown said at 4pm on March 18, the 27-year-old woman walked into Woolworths and placed several items in a shopping basket. She was questioned by staff before she left in car. Police later spoke to the woman at her home and charged the woman.
- At 4pm on March 16, police have attended a domestic incident in Cootamundra following a dispute between a woman and man. After speaking to both parties, police arrested and charged a man with assault. He will face Cootamundra Local Court on May 2.
