During the play-off for third and fourth place in the pre-season, the Blues went down to the Griffith Swans by 47 points. The final score was 8.9.57 to 1.4.10.
Best For Cootamundra was Sienna Bloor, Perceval, Sarah Stephens and Abbey Watson.
“The game starting time of the competition wasn’t ideal, we had a lot of girls arrive late,” Perceval said.
The play off started at 7.15pm on Friday.
“Some of our players work out of town, they have to drive home, get ready and then drive to Wagga,” she said.
“They virtually get there and have to run on straight away.”
Perceval herself is three hours from Wagga and said the lack of warm up time hindered the Blues performance.
“[Starting] 30 minutes later would have a huge difference,” she said.
There won’t be any such issues for Saturday at Clarke Oval, however with the girls kicking off at midday.
Perceval said she’d like to see the Blues equal and then beat their record of one win during the season, but it was important that each player enjoyed the game.
