Cootamundra’s Carnival of Cups meeting was transferred due to the state of the track there, but there was nothing wrong with Junee’s going off the times set.
Turnbull drove Trickys Beaut to victory in the Cootamundra Wattle Time Cup (2170m).
He clocked a mile rate of 1:57.9 to set a new record in the feature race with an all-the-way effort.
He defeated West Wyalong Pacers Cup winner Blackbird Power by 6.1 metres.
Turnbull also drove Joes Star Of Mia to victory in a Menagle Country Series heat.
He clocked a mile rate of 1:56.0 for the 1760 metres.
Turnbull won four of the nine races with Mach Le More and Alta Mach also successful.
Leeton trainer Chris Hughes was the only Riverina trainer to taste success on the day.
Carramar Arapaho won the other Menangle Country Series heat.
