Geoff collected the reserve singles title, defeating another Coota Ex player in Mark Armstrong. The triples title went to Jim White, Roman Bondaruk and John Harriott.
Jim White and Roman Bondaruk were senior pairs winners for the third consecutive year, while Wally Chater and Greg Field retained the reserve pairs title.
CLUB TITLES
In the major pairs, Frog Roberts and Mick Willis progressed to the next round with a decisive win over Nigel Buttress and Mick Ryan. Graeme Dennis and Coco Anderson had a close 19-16 win against Pickles Bradley and Geoff Hillier.
Major Singles had Don O’Neil pitted against the in-form Jim White. Scores were tied on four occasions, with the last being on end 27. Unfortunately Jim was not able to add to his score with The Duck eventually winning 31-24 and moving on to the next round.
SOCIAL BOWLS
Wednesday: B. Cosgrove, G. Bussell and B. New scraped home with a very close 18-17 win over Pickles, T. Smith and P. Hoang. J. Huntington and T. McDonald comfortable defeated against R. Hillier and P. O’Brien, while S. Leggett and G. Snape were too strong for K. Medcalf and T. Curtis.
Friday: R. Hillier, T. Smith and G. Bushell had a one-shot 16-15 win over a gallant G. Snape, J. Huntington and G. Dennis and O. Lopez, A. Small and R. Bondaruk recorded a comfortable 27-19 win over Pickles, The Duck and S. Whitechurch while J. Jones and P. O’Brien had a win against K. Hampton and P. Cockram.
WOMENS
Last Wednesday morning, the pennants team played at home against the Country Club. Coota Ex-Services managed a win and a loss, with the overall game going its way.
On Saturday morning, four social ladies played a game of three-bowl pairs. Sara and Joan played against Shirley and Robyn, with Robyn's side having the win.
Several other club members competed in a mixed triples tournament at the Country Club.
The last pennants game will be held at Harden Bowling Club on Thursday, where there will be a presentation of the awards for the pennant winners.
