The trio have been selected in NSW Country under 14s state team and will be playing off against other states at the National Youth Championships at Coffs Harbour this week.
Their final camp started on Friday, with girls finessing their game plan for the week.
There’s no phones and they’ll be starting each morning with 7am beach run, before getting into morning training and game practise. A physio will be on hand to keep niggling injuries at bay.
Anisa, Francesca and Piper are the only three players in the team from Cootamundra – with others coming from Wagga, Dubbo, Mudgee and elsewhere.
Selection for the Country NSW’s state team starts with branch championships before players trial for the Riverina side.
Piper and Francesca’s mum Chris Scott said players are selected for the NSW Country camps from players at the state titles.
Those training camps are where the final 16 players for NSW Country are selected.
“There’s a chance to be selected for the Australian under 14s side,” Scott said.
While neither Piper and Francesca have worked out if they’ll push to break into the Matildas side, they were both excited to have made the NSW Country team.
