Ms Lebreton was presented with an award for her 25 years of service from the NSW SES on Saturday.
She also received the first clasp for the National Medal – a federal award recognising emergency services staff and volunteers who protect the community at risk of injury.
The National Medal is first awarded for 15 years, and each clasp recognising a further 10 years.
Cootamundra-Gundagai SES controller Ross Tout said it was rare for volunteers to be recognised for 25 years continious service.
“It’s being on call to respond to storms, floods and for search and rescue, 24-seven, 365 days a year,” Mr Tout said.
Cootamundra’s Chris Laurence was recognised for five years service with the SES.
Mr Tout said Mr Laurence was a one of Cootamundra’s valued volunteers and was an experienced storm and water rescue operator.
