As Miss Wattle she will be part of the Wattle Time Fair on August 25, and the debutante ball on August 18.
Miss Davey was elected by her peers as vice-captain at Cootamundra Public and Cootamundra High schools.
As well as being a student leader, Miss Davey has a passion for arts and has been recognised as a talented artist.
“Ebony took part in the World's Greatest Shave For A Cure, shaving off her gorgeous long hair for the worthy cause. Ebony was determined to raise as much money as she could originally setting a goal of $3000 only to smash this personal goal and managed to raise in excess of $5000 for the Leukemia Foundation – something Ebony's friends and family are extremely proud of,” her nomination reads.
Miss Davey completed her Higher School Certificate in 2017 and earned early entry to university.
This year she has been on a gap year, working to save money for her move to Wollongong later this year.
She’s aiming to study visual arts and graphic design, and is weighing up becoming either a graphic designer or an arts teacher.
“I’m hoping to do the Miss Wattle justice,” Miss Davey said.
While surprised that she was nominated, she’s excited and a little nervous to be a representative of Cootamundra during Wattle Time.
