IT WAS a great roll-up for Legacy Day bowls when 40 bowlers took to the green on Sunday for our annual Legacy Day fundraiser.
After the day’s play the boys from Legacy treated us to barbecue before the day’s winners, Debbie Kelleher, Frog Roberts and John Goggin, were presented with their prizes.
Legacy is a charity providing services to Australian families suffering after the injury or death of a spouse or parent, during or after their defence force service. It currently cares for around 60,000 beneficiaries.
In second place was the Cootamundra Country Club team of Charlie Willis, Arthur Ward and Eddie Jarrott, while Bev Black, Wendy Deacon and Jim Deacon received the encouragement award for the day.
Thank you to all who participated or contributed.
IN THE Mixed Pairs Championship Wendy Deacon and Henry Wilson played Marilyn Allan and Keith Hampton for a spot in the semis.
