Eighteen bowlers attended and three games of triples took place in pleasant weather.
Arthur played lead for Pete Rasmussen and Rodney Crowe and they had a great game against Keith Townley, Doug Wallace and David Harris who pipped them by just a couple of shots (17-15).
In addition K. Medcalf, C. Willis and J. Malone had a win over G. Hagan, E. Jarrott and G. Worboys (18-13).
However, the day’s winners were G. Cassidy, C. Miller and R. Cleveland with a comprehensive (29-9) victory over W. Ledger, E. Thorburn and G. Davidson.
There was no jackpot winner.
Tuesday
It was a great roll-up for a great day on Tuesday with 22 players facing the selectors who arranged a Triples and four Pairs games for the afternoon`s play.
The Triples game pitted our 92-year-old birthday boy against his 91-year-old, long-time friend Bill Ledger, and they had a great game with much toing and froing.
Bill was with D. Wallace and D. Guthrie and they had an 18-15 win for 16 points over A. Ward, C. Miller and E. Thorburn.
The pair, G. Hagan and P. Cockram also gained a 16-point score from the defeat of S. Wilkinson and C. Willis.
Then we had 17 points for G. Bushell and R. Cleveland from their win over P. Rasmussen and R. Johnson.
Another 17-point win went to E. Jarrott and J. Malone from their win over K. Medcalf and G. Worboys (23-13)
Winners for the day were N. Stubbs and J. Cook who handed G. Cassidy and G. Davidson an unmerciful hiding (41-13) that is still puzzling us all that know the capabilities of the victims.
C. Willis won the raffle prize.
