Both sides competed in October’s NSW State Championships with Riverina winning division one and Western second division.
The Riverina side is full of seasoned cricketers and nearly all have played O’Farrell Cup. Nine of the team that won in Armidale are playing.
The Western side comprises of players mainly from Bathurst, Orange and Lithgow with Cootamundra representatives captain Mark Elia and John Stephens.
Most of the Riverina players are off to Christchurch in November to play against the New Zealand over 50s side.
The match of 40 overs each commences at 10.30 and umpires are Pat Kerin and Jeff White
