Riverina batted first and made 163 then bowled out an under strength Western side for just 77. Mark Favell continued his fine form for Riverina, retiring with 40 along with former NSW Country batsman Gerard Hines, while Temora's Peter Gerhard scored a fine 30.
Paul O’Malley, who travelled from near Melbourne to play, took 2/22 to share bowling honours with Temora’s Andrew Derrick (2/7).
The Riverina side contained players who have represented Cootamundra, Griffith, Leeton, Temora and Wagga in O’Farrell Cup. The Western side saw player’s travel from Lithgow, Bathurst, Orange and Molong.
Riverina travels to Christchurch in November to play New Zealand’s over 50’s side in two matches.
