The old baby health centre in Ellwood’s Hall has been turned in a history room, where the community’s stories are now carefully stored.
To mark the official opening, a spring fair was held, and it was such a success that organisers are hoping to make it a regular event.
Steve Neave, from the Ellwood’s Hall committee and one of the driving forces behind the creation of the history room, said another market day was being planned for November 24.
“We’re going to try to keep them going. We had a lot of people visiting and a lot of stall holders,” he said.
Mr Neave said the community had also been supportive of establishing the history room.
