W Ledger and C Willis played a draw (18-all) with G Hagan and K Medcalf and the winners for the day were R Cleveland and G Davidson as a result of their win over D Harris and J Malone (19-16).
Great weather for bowls, Sunday afternoon and better numbers that allowed for two games of triples and a pairs game. The two triples games finished with the same winning margin + 9.
G Hagan, K Medcalf and W Manwaring obtained a win (20-11 ) over C Willis, C Miller and R Cleveland. A Ward, D Guthrie and G Worboys defeated W Ledger, P Rasmussen and R Smith. 1912, thus leaving E Thorburn and R Johnson as the day’s winners by their 25-16 win over AE Ward and K Breasley. Jackpot intact.
Sixteen players on Tuesday played in pairs contests and the smallest point score,15.5 points, going to B Gibson and K Medcalf when they defeated C Miller and G Bushell. Next came C Peters and A Ward with 17 points win over B Stephens and J Malone.
W Watmore and G Davidson defeated L Rigby and K Breasley for 17.5 points and the winners of the meat trays for the day were G Bottrall and P Rasmussen who scored 19 points by defeat of G Hagan and C Willis. Raffle tray went to G Davidson.
Next event for our club is the president’s day for 2018 next Sunday, which will bring teams from district clubs, along with extras paying homage to their bowling friends as they enjoy a couple of games and meal.
