The market consisted of 2020 new season lambs, 583 old lambs and 3029 mutton sheep.
The quality of the market overall was much better with some very good runs of new season lambs and quality lines of mutton on hand.
With all regular buyers present and keen to fill orders the market was $10 to $20 better for lambs with the mutton market was at times erratic, although it up to $15 dearer than a fortnight ago.
Once again there was some re stocker interest on light lambs, and young store mutton.
Top price of the day went to Ron Ward “Bellvue“ Wallenbeen with an outstanding pen of new season lambs making $195.
With an estimated CW of 26.5kg and wearing a $7 coat, they came back at $7.10kg CW and went to Sothern Meats Goulburn.
Most three to four score lambs were in the $6.80 to $7.20kg CW
Top price for mutton was a pen of heavy ewes making $155 with an estimated CW of 33kg and a $10 coat they came back at $4.40kg CW.
A large run of hoggets topped out at $16 to average $94.
Most mutton ranged from $3.80 to $4.50 / KG CW
