Witnessing some of the play, the South West District was very competitive despite the fact they came about fifth overall but there was one thing that probably created history in last weekend’s play.
As a result of one selected player’s inability to play, the replacement player picked saw one full team of four players coming from the one club, namely Cootamundra Country Club.
Those bowlers were: David Harris, lead, Michael Barber, second, Brad Lange, 3rd, and Ron Rosengreen, skip.
A couple of games (one not finished because of the weather) on the home front. R Cleveland and R Johnson appeared to have their game won against C Willis and R Crowe when weather intervened (23-12) and on Sunday afternoon, G Hagan and W Manwaring were defeated by K Medcalf and E Thorburn (25-18) and best result for afternoon was the win by C Miller and D Manwaring over W Ledger and C Willis (28-10). Good bowling folks, until next week.
