Local sporting clubs got a cash injection with donations from Keith and Lola Daley of The Big O bottleshop on Monday.

“We’ve been here 20 years and the town’s been very good to us,” said Keith. “As a business we share our profits with the community.”
“Today we gave four $1000 cheques to local sport clubs,” he said. “Every Saturday we give away ten $100 gift vouchers. People love it.”
Recipients of the donation cheques were the Cootamundra District Cricket Club, Stockinbingal Bowling Club, Stockinbingal Cricket Club and the Cootamundra Squash Club.
Brendan O’Callaghan of Stockinbingal Bowling Club said the money means they can run an extra function to raise money for the club.
Wendy Bell of the Cootamundra Squash Club said the donation is usually put toward equipment for the children.
Matt Holt of Stockinbingal Cricket Club said their donation will be used for registration and insurance. “It’s a generous donation. Keith and Lola have been a great support to our club,” he said.
