The Hardie family of Stirling has won the 2018 Wallendbeen wheat crop competition with a crop of Gregory variety, estimated to yield 5.5 tonnes to the hectare and awarded 182 points.

Second was Alex Baldry of Macdoon, with a crop of Coolah variety, estimated to yield 4.7 tonnes with 163 points.
Equal third place was shared by Baldry & Sons of Wallandoon East and Berthong Pastoral Co both estimated to yield of 6.1 tonnes with 161 points.
Seed Purity Trueness to Type award was won by Andrew Crawford of Berthong with his crop of Flanker variety.
Competition organiser Ken Thorburn thanked Mr Minchin and participating farmers for their interest and participation.
