Just after 8am on Tuesday, police officers attended a Temora home where they executed a search warrant and arrested a 46-year-old man.
Police seized a quantity of cannabis and weapons from the premise.
The man was taken to Temora Police Station for questioning before being charged with numerous offences, including supply and possession of prohibited drugs and possession of prohibited weapons.
He was granted conditional bail and is set to appear at Temora Local Court on February 1, 2019.
The incident also involved Cootamundra police’s Target Action Group, a specialist unit, and a drug-detection dog.
Police Inspector Rob Vergano said the result of the operation was helped by community information.
“It’s an example of community reporting pieces of information to help us,” Inspector Vergano said.
“It had been an ongoing investigation and Temora Police had been conducting proactive patrols of the area.”
He said police would continue their efforts in clamping down on drug offences in the region.
