The International Women’s Day Art and Literature prizes are gaining interest. There are two themes to choose from: “My town, my place”, or “My corner of the world”.
Your corner of the world might be a favourite part of your garden, a favourite place to holiday, somewhere in your dreams, a place to read or meditate, your house, your workplace, your town, your family or friends, the beach, the bush, the mountains or rivers or a place in your imagination.
Your interpretation of my town, my place might represent how you see yourself in your town, your role or your job for example, or it might be what the town means or represents to you, for example, wattle, the Murrumbidgee, the dog on the tuckerbox, farming.
Pick up an entry form from your school, from Council, by contacting us via cootawattlebirds@gmail.com or the Cootamundra IWD 2019 facebook page.
