Any tennis players wishing to join the upcoming Autumn competition commencing late February will get to experience this once in a lifetime event. Competition players will be the last people to play on the historic clay court surface, thereafter the courts will be out of action for up to four weeks as they undergo refurbishment to become modern synthetic courts. The Autumn competition will then resume on the new playing surface. The upgrade has been made possible by funding from the NSW Governments Stronger Country Communities Fund. Stockinbingal Tennis Club are one of the few surviving small village tennis competitions and play is conducted over two week nights from 7pm. Membership is $15 adults and $7.50 teenagers. Team or individual nominations are now being called for. Teams consist of 4 players graded from 1 to 4 or individuals may nominate and be placed in a team by the committee. Weekly playing fees are $5 per player. Please phone Debbie Kemp on 0488512484 or Sue Caldwell on 0427431407 to nominate by the 6th February.
