Earlier this year, Herzog was in Cootamundra with swimming legend Dawn Fraser for a district swim meet hosted by the Cootamundra Swimming and Lifesaving Club.
He will present awards to the sporting stars of 2018 as well as talk about his swimming career.
CSF President Christine Leahy is delighted to have another top line athlete coming to the dinner.
“Kurt will be made very welcome; it is nice to have a swimmer as a guest speaker and to hear about his career in the pool," Mrs Leahy said.
“Our previous two speakers Scott Reardon and Alicia Quirk were fantastic ambassadors for sport and Kurt will provide a similar experience for guests,” she continued.
Organisation for the dinner is well underway with nominations for awards currently being taken and swet to close on April 12, coinciding with the end of the first school term.
Nomination forms are available from Cootamundra Sportspower and Toyworld or can be accessed through the CSF’s website.
There are awards for both junior and senior individuals and teams, which will be presented at the dinner by Herzog.
He will also present awards to sporting club administrators who have given their time to ensure sport in Cootamundra continues to flourish.
Kurt is looking forward to returning to the town for the dinner.
“I enjoy coming to country towns and meeting local people; I had a great time at the swimming pool in February and it will be good to return and catch up with some of those swimmers and also meet some people from other sporting clubs and the Cootamundra community,” he said.
