Ex-Services Club
THE Ex-Services Club men's grade six pennant team travels to Tumbarumba next Sunday, May 19 to contest the Zone 8 finals, where they will play the winner of Narrandera and Barmedman.
Good luck fellas and play well.
Club Championships: The Major Pairs had Terry McDonald and Jim Deacon moving to the semi finals with a great win over Bob and Adam New.
There was a very close game lasting 37 ends in the Major Singles, with Rod (Pickles) Bradley defeating Kim (Frog) Roberts 31-28 in an exciting game.
Social bowls: Wednesday, May 8 had one game of triples and a game of pairs on the rinks.
In the triples game J Withers, Geoff Hillier and Rod (Pickles) Bradley defeated Henry Wilson, Wayne (Rocky) Ford 22-17.
In the pairs game, Jason Jones and Rob Hillier were too strong on the day and defeated Alan Small and Don (Duck) O'Neill 22-13.
Sunday, May 12 consisted of two games of triples with the talented Rob Hillier, Alan Small and Graeme Dennis defeating Paul Cockram, Geoff (Bloopy) Manwaring and Mick Willis.
On the other rink Oscar Lopez, Graeme Snape and Pat O'Brien had a convincing 22-17 win over Keith Hampton, P Hawes and Geoff Hillier.
Neta Manwaring retained the Queen of the Green title she won last month with a win for May against Marsha Phillips.

WOMEN'S BOWLS
Country Club
THE first semi-final of the club singles championships was played last Tuesday between Betty Cleveland and Viv Christie.
It was a great game, with Viv the winner.
Neta Manwaring retained the Queen of the Green title she won last month with a win for May against Marsha Phillips.
In other matches, Jan Slavin, Betty Cleveland and Jenny Blundell had wins against Viv Christie, Jan Roberts and Lesley Manwaring, respectively.
Tomorrow is Crazy Whist at 2.30pm. Win a prize and enjoy a great afternoon tea; all welcome.
