Regular Tuesday playgroup Wiggle and Giggle, usually held at the Cootamundra Community Hub, was replaced for the morning by the Family Fun Day with youngsters and their carers from this group, joined by other members of the community to enjoy the activities offered.
With a jumping castle, face painting, craft, colouring-in, bubble blowing and a surprise visit from Cootamundra's own unicorn 'Sparkles' there was plenty to keep everyone entertained.
Can Assist was on hand to feed hungry families cooking up a barbecue and also hosting a cake stall.
The event was for zero to five-year-olds and put together in celebration of National Families Week.
National Families Week is held every year between May 15 and 21 to celebrate the vital role families play.
Children were asked to dress as their favourite character for the event with some impressive costumes on show.
Emma Wiggle was popular, while there was also Spiderman, Catboy from PJ Masks, the Little Mermaid, Marshall from Paw Patrol, fairies and football players.
Away from the fun and games, there were an array of information stalls including Tresillian and Intereach.
Wiggle and Giggle resumes next Tuesday as usual.
The group is open to carers and their youngsters at a cost of $2 per week and runs from 10.30am.
