The parade will be held at the Cootamundra Ex-Services Club with tickets on sale now at $15 per person ($5 for under 16s), available from at the club.

Organisers are asking community members who want to enjoy a night out and support the village to please secure their tickets as soon as possible to give an idea of numbers.

The beautiful gowns were originally worn down the aisle by local women and will now be showcased on the runway by local models, some just teenagers to fit into the teeny dresses of past eras.

Some women will also wear their own dresses.

Among the dozens of dresses to make their way down the runway or be displayed on mannequins will be a vintage 1940s gown worn by Mrs Cowled, while Cootamundra's Margaret Melmoth has generously handed over her mother's and her aunt's dresses, both from the 1930s, to be shown during the parade.

Multiple generations of the Paton family from Cootamundra will showcase their dresses in what is sure to be a special addition to the evening.

More recent dresses belonged to Lucy Brown (nee Pigram) who married Ben Brown in a beautiful ceremony earlier this year and also Rachel Curtin, who tied the knot just this year.

"It will be a great night full of fun," organisers promised.
