Mr Power started volunteering at the facility 12 years ago when he retired, initially in a shared bus driving role.
"We used to do trips to Young, Harden, Gundagai, Junee, Temora and Lake Burrinjuck." Mr Power said.
"I consider the fish and chips at the lake in Temora a particular highlight of those days. When a paid driver was hired between the Cootamundra, Harden and Young facilities, I became the drinks waiter at 'Happy Hour."
Southern Cross Care Cootamundra Activity Coordinator, Carol Campbell found out that Mr Power was very musical and asked him to perform for the residents.
"I thought 'they'll be sick of me after three or four appearances!', but here I am, still playing fortnightly, racking up 100 performances." Mr Power said.
"I love the participation of the residents. They join in, singing and clapping; and that makes me feel like I'm doing a worthwhile job."
Mr Power said that he id often asked why he volunteers at the facility.
"I volunteer because I like to help. I like to see people happy, with smiles on their faces. In fact, the residents have become more like family to me now. I will keep performing while ever they'll have me." Mr Power said.
"I am not sure whether I will chalk up another 100 performances, but I'll give it a good shake
