Hassani was sent from the field after questioning a decision during his side's 4-0 loss to Lake Albert at Rawlings Park five weeks ago.

He was one of two Pascoe Cup head coaches on that weekend to be ordered away from the game by match officials for alleged verbal abuse toward the referee, along with Leeton's Frank Alampi.

Both clubs were fined $500 and issued a three-point suspended sentence, which will be deducted from their competition tally should they be found guilty of another breach.

But Hassani insists he wasn't out of line with his actions.

"From my perspective I think all this has been blown out of proportion," he said.

"There was a shoulder charge on one of my defenders, (no foul was called) and he challenged the referee respectfully.

"I said to my player next time stay shoulder to shoulder so you don't get hit from behind, from that point the referee blew the whistle and stopped the game.

"I asked him why he called me over and he said that if I kept talking he'd send me off. I can't fully remember what I said, but he told me to get off the field.

"I always advocate a good fair game, to be respectful to all authorities and players, and this has upset me."

A few weeks ago after a handful of incidents in various grades, Football Wagga felt it necessary to issue a strong warning to clubs to remind them of their responsibilities under their code of conduct.

"We decided to look at where we would have the most impact in addressing the problem," Football Wagga president Tony Dobbin said three weeks ago after the punishments were handed down.

"We've suspended (the deduction of) the three points, but if there's another incident they'd lose those points, plus any other penalty that comes from another incident.

"We could penalise individuals or we could penalise the clubs, because at the end of the day we hold the clubs and ourselves accountable for player, coach and spectator behaviour."
