Leading by only 11 point at half-time, the Blues booted 9.7 to 3.1 in the final two quarters to win by 54 points, 14.14 (98) to 7.2 (44).
The Blues established as 12-point lead by quarter-time of Saturday's match on the vast open spaces of Joe O'Connor Park in Yass, but the Roos won the second quarter by a point.
The Blues showed some poor discipline early, giving away three 50-metre penalties, with one resulting a goal for the home side.
Blues captain Phil Bird was once again easily the best player on the ground. His strong marking and running was a feature of his play.
Scott Mazzocchi played his best match for the Blues. His aerial skills were rewarded with three goals.
Young Jack Caldwell, 19, is improving every match. His pace around the ball and his ability to beat an opponent makes him an important member of the Blues line-up.

Unfortunately, the Blues incurred a couple of injuries out of Saturday's match. Mazzocchi suffered a back injury. Tom Brody finished the match slightly concussed, while Todd Basham, who was the Blues' umpire, tore a calf muscle before three-quarter-time but soldiered on to complete the match.
It's hard to believe Yass has only won two matches, as the Roos have pushed the Blues twice this season. The Blues will again play the Roos in the final round at Joe O'Connor on August 10.
At the conclusion of the match, the Blues enjoyed a warm down by having a brief swim in the Yass River, which is adjacent to the western side of the ground.
Next Saturday, the Blues will host Belconnen.
Both of the other two matches were close contests. The Southern Cats defeated Goulburn by 13 points, while Belconnen defeated Murrumbateman by 18 points.
Meanwhile, the Blues girls put in a spirited performance against Eastlake at Kingston Oval before going down by 33 points. Final score: Eastlake 7.6 (48) to 2.3 (15).
The girls' effort was full of merit, as they again played with 14 players.

On Saturday, the girls will host Belconnen, which forfeited to the Riverina Lions last Saturday.
