The day format was to be 12 ends in the morning, then a baked lunch followed with another 12 ends.
The original numbers were 48 bowlers, but there were a few withdrawals due to the cold weather.
But all who attended enjoyed their day and have booked another bowls day in November.
ZONE 8 PAIRS
The club's two sets of pairs - Terry McDonald and Jim Deacon in the seniors and Wally Chater and Rod (Pickles) Bradley in the President Reserves were defeated, but not disgraced.
Women's Club Pairs final saw a close encounter between Rhonda Nolan and Lorraine Evelyn, with their opposition being Lee Bristow and Freda Hambrook.
CLUB MINOR SINGLES
Wayne (Rocky) Ford and Steve Stanton played their first round of the minor singles. Rocky shot out to a 12-1 lead and looked comfortable, but Steve mounted a challenge. By end 16, he had leveled the score 17-all. Stanton continued the pressure and went on to record a 31-23 win in 28 ends, then backed up to play the next round against Kye Fisher.
This game was closer than the score indicated. Stanton was again on song and bowled very well. While Fisher tried hard, nothing went his way. Stanton claimed a 31-19 win.
SOCIAL BOWLS
Two games of triples were played on July 10, with Jeff Withers, Jason Jones and Pat O'Brien recording a 20-17 win over Ned Kelly, Greg (Nippy) Field and Jim White.
