Belconnen, which was running third in the AFL Canberra Regional grade competition, advised the Blues on Friday that due to lack of numbers, they would not be making their way to Clarke Oval.
With Belconnen forfeiting, the Blues will complete the home and away season with the next four matches away.
They will face Murrumbateman on Saturday, with matches at Yass against Southern Cats, Goulburn and Yass to follow.
While Blues coach Luke Webb was disappointed with the forfeit, the club did not waste the opportunity to do something useful.

After the women's match, Zeke Loiterton took a dozen the footballers through their paces on the bikes at the Come Alive gym.
Next Saturday, the Blues will travel to Murrumbateman, which last Saturday, thrashed the Goulburn Swans by 53 points.
In the other match played at Joe O'Connor Park in Yass, the Yass Roos received a real touch up from the Southern Cats - going down by 46 points.
WOMEN
While the Belconnen men could not make to Clarke Oval, their women provided the Blues with a pretty even contest.
The visitors dominated the first two quarters and, at the long break, led by 31 points.
The Blues girls won the final two quarters by a mere point. Final score: Belconnen 7.3 (45) to Cootamundra 2.3 (15).
A number of the Blues' women were standouts. Alyssa Armstrong again put in a dominant performance. In first full season of AFL, she has proven to be a real find for the Blues. She gives a 100 per cent every game with her determined running and kicking.
Sienna Bloor, who works as vet on Saturday morning in Young, generally misses the first quarter. However, as soon she arrives on the field, she makes her presence felt, especially in the ruck.
Best: Alyssa Armstrong, Michaela Peravval, Sienna Bloor Annette Parkinson, Sally Ormond and Sarah Stephens.
Goals: Regan Smith and Sienna Bloor.
Next Saturday, the women's side will travel to Murrumbateman to play Tuggeranong.
