Having good overall health has never been easier in Cootamundra thanks to the newly established Coota Health Centre.
The centre opened just two months ago housing a range of allied health professionals and room for medical in the near future.
Owner and chiropractor Dr Ned Khodragha previously owned and operated Coota Back Clinic two doors down from the new premises.
When he saw a need for more services he decided to expand and open the new business.
"We went from two rooms up to 11 rooms," he said.
"I saw there were services that Coota needs there was nothing there.
"There was a need for at least an allied health clinic so when I bought the building wanted to give them what else they wanted which is medical."
The building was completed gutted and fitted out to suit the needs of the business.
Currently there are three chiropractors, a local podiatrist and a massage therapist.
The podiatrist is not a visiting one but is local to the area after he relocated with his wife to work in Harden and Cootamundra and one of chiropractors relocated from Sydney.
It is expected to take about three months for doctors to come on board with pathology also expected to reside within the centre.
Dr Khodragha also hopes to host visiting specialists in the future to save residents long trips for specialised medical needs.
A focus of the centre will be recovery from injury with a fully-stocked mobility aid shop supplying everything from strapping tape for sporting games or injury right up to crutches and wheelchairs for broken bones or major injuries. This means patients only have to go to one place for almost everything during their recovery.
The Coota Health Centre is located at 148 Parker Street. The team also service the Harden community at Kruger Medical Centre on East Street.
