Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane looked to have put Spurs in control at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, but Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struck back to earn a share of the points.

"We deserved more tonight," Aubameyang told Sky Sports.

"After the two goals Tottenham scored we were under pressure and we started to push a lot.

"We got two goals and I think we had the chance to score the third one."

The result leaves Arsenal fifth in the Premier League on seven points from four matches, while Tottenham are ninth on five points.

"I'm a little disappointed," Kane said.

"When you go 2-0 up you expect to win whoever you are playing.

"All in all it is a point and we need to accept it."

Tottenham broke on top in the 10th minute when Eriksen easily tapped in after Bernd Leno parried Erik Lamela's shot into his path.

Kane then made it 2-0 from the penalty spot just before half-time after Granit Xhaka's needless foul on Heung Min Son.

But Spurs handed Arsenal a lifeline in first-half injury time as they failed to clear the ball and Lacazette smashed it past Hugo Lloris.

Both teams had early chances in the second half with Matteo Guendouzi forcing a diving save from Lloris and Kane hitting the post.

Arsenal continued to push and were rewarded when Aubameyang timed his run perfectly to poke home Guendouzi's pass in the 71st minute.

They then looked to have nabbed a winner through Sokratis Papastathopoulos, but it was ruled out for offside against Saed Kolasinic in the build-up and confirmed by the video assistant referee.

In the day's opening match, Richarlison scored twice to help Everton to a 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Goodison Park.

Everton led 2-1 after a frantic opening 12 minutes in which Richarlison and Alex Iwobi sandwiched goals around a Wolves equaliser from Romain Saiss.

Raul Jimenez headed the visitors level in the second half, but Richarlison's second gave Everton a sixth consecutive home win going back to last season.

Wolves, who suffered their first loss after three draws, had Willy Boly sent off in the closing seconds of stoppage time for a second yellow card.
