Cootamundra Ex-Services' Bowls
Jason Jones and Rhonda Nolan paired up in their effort to win the 2019 Mixed Pairs, their opposition in the second round was Bev Black and Greg Fisher. The score was within one or two all game and coming into the final end the score was 14 all and anyone's game. Bev and Grumpy were holding 3 shots and Jason had one bowl to come but he just missed the jack and Bev and Grumpy recorded a 17-14 win, meanwhile, Freda Hambrook and Geoff Manwaring combined and played some great bowls to defeat Debbie Kelleher and John Goggin, 21-12.

Terry Smith and Craig Jordan had a ding dong battle in their Minor Singles game. Craig skipped away to a handy 16-7 lead early but Terry got his game back on track and by end 27, led 27-22. Craig mounted a challenge and levelled the score, 28 all, on end 32 but Terry recorded the three shots needed in the next two ends to record a great 31-28 win.
In the Minor Pairs, Pat O'Brien and Jason Jones played some great bowls to defeat the courageous Roger Goode and Bill Cosgrove.
Twenty-six keen bowlers competed in the annual Legacy charity day. Despite the ordinary weather conditions, the day resulted in some very close scores and a whole lot of fun for all who participated, but there can only be one winner and that was the team of Collene Goode, Roger Goode and Geoff Manwaring.
Wednesday saw two games of social triples and a pairs game played, with Craig Jordan, Peter Hoang and Mark Devere sneaking home with a 22-16 win against Ginger O'Brien, Don O'Neill and Terry Cosgrove. Paul Cockram, Pat O'Brien and Rocky Ford proved too good for Keith Hampton, Geoff Hillier and Greg Field, while Jeff Cook and Mick Andrews had a convincing win against John Huntington and Ned Kelly.
Ladies bowls on Wednesday saw Joan Cummins (Double lead), Margaret Cosgrove and Wendy Deacon combine to defeat Joan Cummins (Double lead), Lauren Bush and Robyn Snape 19-13, while Lynn Fisher, Carolyn Buchanan and Lorraine Evelyn had a good 23-13 win against Marilyn Allen, Monica Kelly and Freda Hambrook.

COUNTRY CLUB WOMEN'S BOWLS
There were five singles matches played for Queen of the Green last Thursday.
Diana Buchanan won an entertaining game against Jan Roberts. Mona Perry was in fine form, defeating out-of-sorts Jenny Blundell. Whilst Viv Christie and Marsha Phillips were 11-11 on end 12, Viv found her length to run away with the match. Betty Cleveland won a very close up-and-down match against Ellenor Armstrong. Jan Slavin and Neta had a tight battle, with Jan going on to win by a single point.
Queen of the Green for September is Viv Christie, who won on a countback from Mona Perry.
Tomorrow is our yearly President's Day, with teams from surrounding clubs attending. Crazy Whist will now be held on September 19.
